Sahel Paradis is a collaboration between Sancta and Hommes et Terre – a multinational agency that performs large-scale ecosystem regeneration in the Sahel.
Globally, the most fundamental relationship – that between humans and their environment – is in crisis, putting life on our planet at risk. In the Sahel, this disturbed relationship is presented in a radical way. The consequences, the challenges, but also the opportunities to restore it are inspiring; and perhaps even revealing and activating for us all.
SAHEL PARADIS realises and tells the story of 5 missions of 5 talented and committed young Sahelians who want to regenerate their environment. They want to reverse negative dynamics and replace them with concrete alternatives by transforming their communities and daily realities. Each of their missions has the potential to transform the Sahel and – why not – the world.
SAHEL PARADIS is a project of social, economic and cultural change and empowerment. It is both a real and a multi-media project aimed at revitalising the link between people and their environment.
SAHEL PARADIS is a platform that makes many of the SDGs concrete and accessible.
SAHEL PARADIS wants to make a complex issue accessible and understandable to a wide audience.
