Can a Man Change The City portrays the city of Antwerp through the Kalender Project 09 of artist Benjamin Verdonck.
This linear documentary studied the influence of the artist’s work: the change and perception in the life of Benjamin – the source – and in that of Antwerp – the soil. The project’s cross-media set-up consisted of 1) a linear documentary, broadcast on the public TV station Canvas (VRT), based on 2) a series of artistic urban interventions in the city, and was also made available as 3) a series of online docu-clips, a.o. via Google Maps.
